ADR PLANT
SION has utilized its long history in this industry to establish several innovations that are used in today’s ADR (Adsorption, Desorption, and Recovery) industry. SION developed the distribution box approach to carbon transfer and was the first and most successful company in building modular ADR plants, with several mobile plants being moved and set up in various countries on several continents. SION developed the flared column that helps mitigate fine carbon migration through the columns and enables a plant to have as much as 50 percent turn-up without having settling or fluidization problems. SION developed the wye strainer system for strip columns that eliminated the use of wedge wire screen on strip vessel discharge, saving valuable time in stripping. And SION has developed the fourth generation of electrowinning cells that incorporates the best of the previous generations. SION developed the acid wash first strip that reduced stripped carbon tails and improved overall recovery.
SION’s plants take both affordability and operability into consideration and are designed to be operator-friendly. SION’s plants have been used around the world with minimal personnel to operate them. SION utilizes its own fabrication facilities, which allow it to control both fabrication costs and quality to ensure a high-quality on-time and on-budget fabrication.
